Blessed Samhain

Blessed Samhain! This is the halfway point between Fall Equinox and Winter Solstice. When it appears that nature is going through a death cycle, we also honor loved ones that have passed on to the other side. We also notice that the "veil" between our world and the spirit world is noticably thinner right now, and we may even have encounters or visitations from spirits! Many cultures leave out offerings, anticipating such special company.

Death is a natural part of life, and so during this time we honor our ancestors, and we reflect on our own part in nature, the greater cycles that affect us all. We are all born, we will all die, but it is what we do in the time that we have here that can leave a legacy that lives on far longer than our bodies.

Live well my friends, live simply, live with love. Do no harm but take no shit. Life is precious, so slow down, enjoy it, and be grateful for what you have- because old age is a privilege denied to many.

Sending you all so much love~ Blessed Be, this night, and always~
